The first time that worship is mentioned in the Bible, there were no instruments or music. Abraham was instructed to sacrifice the life of Isaac (Genesis 22:5). He instructed his people to stay and wait while he and Isaac went to go worship. This theme of worship is consistent throughout the entire Bible.
